Who is María Pía?

Doctor of Law and Social Sciences since 2011, with a postgraduate degree in Procedural Law, her career has been built between technical knowledge and a keen sensitivity to the human realities behind each case file.

Born in Bella Unión, at the triple border between Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil, she grew up in an environment naturally linked to the movement of people, cultures, and identities. That early experience awakened a deep understanding of belonging and human mobility.

Shortly after graduating, she emigrated alone to Australia, living in cities like Brisbane, Melbourne, and Charters Towers. That stage was decisive: it not only consolidated her professional autonomy but also reinforced her commitment to a law that understands people, not just rules.

Upon her return to Uruguay, she has been involved in cases of great legal and human complexity. She assisted in one of the largest real estate transactions in the country and actively participated in international congresses such as those organized by the American Bar Association.

Today she leads the legal-notarial firm Sarasua & Asociados, advising top brands and companies without losing sight of the essential: providing clear and committed support to those facing important legal decisions.

Who is Santiago?

With almost ten years of experience at the Italian Embassy in Montevideo, he held a cross-functional role to the point that he has been involved in almost every conceivable case. He combines his deep technical knowledge with a close and humane approach to those facing immigration processes.

At 24, he emigrated alone to Uruguay, and that personal experience as a migrant was the driving force behind his thorough study of immigration laws, procedures, and challenges.

During the pandemic, Santiago played a crucial role assisting stranded Italian citizens in Uruguay, managing their return in a context of closed borders and great uncertainty.

That experience strengthened his commitment to facilitating and simplifying Immigration Law, providing clear and reliable support at every step of the way.

Today, Santiago is dedicated to supporting his clients with professionalism and empathy, turning complex legal procedures into concrete opportunities for those seeking to make their projects come true.
